Albany, GA (December 23, 2021) – On Thursday afternoon, December 23, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Albany.
According to Albany Police, the accident happened at 1200 Westover Boulevard around the area of the local Sams Club. A driver was traveling in the area when they collided with an SUV that was traveling west on the roadway. The SUV collided with the driver’s side of the other vehicle. This led to extensive damages to both vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Fire crews had to use the jaws of life to release victims from their vehicles. It is not known how many were hospitalized at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
