Atlanta, GA – Car Crash with Injuries on I-20 Near Capital Ave

Atlanta, GA (November 11, 2021) – At 1:51 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, November 11, a car crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.

According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Capital Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another after one or more lost control. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Memorial Drive as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
