Atlanta, GA (January 6, 2022) – At 3:41 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, January 6, a serious chain-reaction collision occurred in Atlanta.
Atlanta officials confirmed that the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 258, Cumberland Boulevard. Four or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, slamming into another. This led to a chain reaction that damaged several involved vehicles at the scene.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and Cobb County fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, one lane of traffic was blocked as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details concerning the accident have been released. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
