Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-85

Atlanta, GA (November 12, 2021) – At 6:12 a.m. on the morning of Friday, November 12, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 94, Chamblee Tucker Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured in the collision. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
