Atlanta, GA (December 22, 2021) – At 11:50 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, December 22, a truck accident occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of I-285. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle that was also traveling in the eastbound lanes. The passenger vehicle sustained immense front-end damages as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, a red alert was issued in the area for some time. All lanes were blocked until police cleared the scene.
