College Park, GA (December 8, 2021) – At 5:15 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, December 8, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in College Park.
According to College Park officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Riverdale Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area.
