Columbus, GA – Injury Crash at JR Allen Pkwy & Schomburg Rd Intersection

Columbus, GA (November 18, 2021) – On Thursday evening, November 18, an injury crash occurred at an intersection in Columbus.

According to Columbus Police, the accident happened at the intersection of J.R. Allen Parkway and Schomburg Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, all eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time.
