Fort Oglethorpe, GA (December 19, 2021) – At 12:49 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, December 19, an injury accident occurred in Fort Oglethorpe.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Fant Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
