Kennesaw, GA (December 7, 2021) – At 6:48 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, December 7, an injury accident occurred on a highway in Kennesaw.
According to Kennesaw officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-575 around the area of exit 3, Chastain Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, the left lane of traffic was blocked for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Bells Ferry Road as an alternate route.
