Kennesaw, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident on Cobb Pkwy

Kennesaw, GA (January 8, 2022) – Around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday night, January 8, a fatal car accident occurred on a major highway in Kennesaw.

Kennesaw Police confirmed that the accident happened on the Cobb Parkway around the area of Mack Dobbs Road and the Cobb County International Airport. The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of traffic when several vehicles collided due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to immense damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt.

Southbound lanes of traffic were blocked for over two hours as police worked to clear the scene.
