Lincolnton, GA – Two Men Killed in Fatal Four-Vehicle Crash on Augusta Hwy

Lincolnton, GA (December 22, 2021) – At 6:42 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, December 22, two men were killed in a fatal vehicle crash in Lincolnton.

According to Lincoln County officials, the accident happened at 4608 Augusta Highway. Four vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a chain-reaction crash due to reasons that are not yet known. Several of the vehicles caught on fire following the crash. This led to extensive damages as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people, identified as a 43-year-old man and a 45-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed that at least one victim was trapped in their vehicle and sustained injuries due to the accident.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
