Macon, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Houston Rd

Macon, GA (October 30, 2021) – At 8:45 p.m. on the night of Friday, October 29, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash in Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 4700 Houston Road. A 47-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street in the area around the Magnolia Court Motel and umbo Gas Station. The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not believed that any parties were injured as a result.

No charges have been filed against the driver. The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
