Marietta, GA (January 7, 2022) – In the morning hours of Friday, January 7, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Marietta.
According to Marietta Police, the accident happened at 5:17 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Canton Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when it was alleged that one lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in two lanes for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
