Morrow, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-85 Near Jonesboro Rd

Morrow, GA (December 30, 2021) – On the morning of Thursday, December 30, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Morrow.

Local officials in Atlanta reported that the collision happened at 4:46 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-85 near Jonesboro Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area near exit 64 when, for reasons that are not yet known, it collided with one or more passenger vehicles. This led to extensive damages to the vehicles.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were present at the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene. Police urged those traveling in the area to use Highway 29 as an alternate route.
