Norcross, GA (January 6, 2022) – At 4:54 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, January 6, a serious multi-vehicle crash occurred in Norcross.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard around the area of I-285. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes of traffic when they forcefully collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
