Smyrna, GA – Tractor-Trailer Collision with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-285

Smyrna, GA (December 23, 2021) – At 6:27 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, December 23, a tractor-trailer collision occurred in Smyrna.

According to Smyrna officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 20, I-75. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the westbound lanes when it collided with one or more passenger vehicles due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
