Stockbridge, GA – One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-75

Stockbridge, GA (January 26, 2022) – One person was injured in a serious multi-vehicle collision that happened on a major highway in Stockbridge on Wednesday, January 26.

According to Henry County Police, the accident happened at 11 a.m. on I-75 around the area of GA-138. Five vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One person, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. They are expected to fully recover.

All northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for approximately one hour as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
