Summerville, GA – Injury Accident at GA-48 & Filter Plant Rd Intersection

Summerville, GA (November 16, 2021) – At 8:28 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, November 16, an injury accident occurred at an intersection in Summerville.

According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-48 and Filter Plant Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
