Summerville, GA (November 1, 2021) – Around 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, November 1, a tractor-trailer accident in Summerville.
According to Chattooga County officials, the accident happened on GA-27 in front of the Hunter Furniture store. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle in the area. The passenger vehicle involved in the accident was extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more individuals were trapped in their vehicles and had to be rescued by fire crews. The victims were then hospitalized with serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police quickly worked to clear the scene.
