Wildwood, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries at GA-11 & Wawona Dr

Wildwood, GA (December 5, 2021) – At 1:41 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, December 5, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Wildwood.

According to Dade County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-11 and Wawona Drive. A vehicle was traveling in the area when the driver suddenly struck a deer. The vehicle went airborne following the collision, landing on a pickup truck that was traveling in the area. The vehicles were severely damaged as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
